Discover, Wear, and Celebrate Kaga Yuzen
Kanazawa is celebrated for its traditional arts and craftsmanship. Among them is Kaga Yuzen, a style of hand-dyed kimono known for designs inspired by nature and refined color combinations.
The Kaga Yuzen Kimono Dressing and Photography Experience, organized by the Kaga Yuzen Cultural Association, invites visitors to wear a specially created kimono, enjoy professional dressing, and preserve the occasion in photographs.

From Admiring Kimono to Wearing Art
Developed in Kanazawa under the cultural influence of the Maeda clan, Kaga Yuzen reflects generations of artistry. This experience lets you wear a garment created especially for the program by a contemporary Kaga Yuzen artist.

Professional Kimono Dressing
Hair styling is an optional extra. Please confirm arrangements with the reservation office.
Kimono dressing is carried out by experienced specialists. Those involved include holders of Japan’s first-class kimono dressing skills certification and people active as Kaga Yuzen Ambassadors. Roles and availability may vary. The careful arrangement of the collar and obi sash helps complete the look.

Photography to Remember Your Visit
A professional photographer captures your completed kimono look during a session of approximately 30 minutes, preserving both the artwork of the garment and your own expressions.
